What does Atomique47 mean? Before I get into that, I need to tell you about the beautiful white Arabian horse that I had through childhood and my young adult life. Her name was Silver Sage. I was lucky enough to get her when I was twelve years old and had her until she passed away eleven years later. That horse was such a big part of my life and I wanted to honor her somehow. The shop is named after her.

The atomic number on the periodic table of elements for Silver is 47. I chose the French spelling because I like that it sounds like a combination of Unique and Atomic.

When the recession hit I found myself with more free time so I started Atomique47 and I've enjoyed all the creative and business aspects of running the shop!

Each handbag is made with love. I carefully select the fabrics and often combine them with my signature felt flowers. The felt flowers are sewn and attached to each bag by hand.
